I’m very honored to hold my next reading in Eboli/Italy. This little town is well-known by Carlo Levi’s work „Christ stopped at Eboli“, his own memoir written in 1945 during his exile in 1935 – 1936 in the villages of Grassano and Aliano, the people there used to say to have been forgotten by God due to poverty and Christ stopped at Eboli, the last train station to reach these villages. I’m very proud that „La Cartiera“ has been compared to Levi’s work by the historian Giuseppe D’Angelo, who wrote the foreword to it. Levi used to write about Eboli in dialect „Jévule“, so I am very pleased, the vineyard Azienda Agricola Rossella Cicalese dedicated one of her wine to Levi and will underline my reading with it. www.rossellacicalese.it – grazie mille Rossella! Eboli for me is very personal, since I was a child I used to go there visiting relations during holidays and from there we drove down to Paestum’s beach. I cherish beautiful childhood memories of it!

„Qualche tempo fa mi è capitato tra le mani il romanzo Nebbia su Durban, di Sina Merino, edito da Swiboo.ch, che ho letto in pochissimo tempo.
È un romanzo d’amore e d’avventura, che si lega perfettamente al nome del personaggio principale: Tristan Damiani, il quale richiama antiche tenzoni cavalleresche, castelli e regni da affrancare. Si tratta, infatti, dell’archetipo del famoso mito medioevale trasposto ai nostri giorni. Tristan lavora alla Borsa, si occupa d’affari, di compravendite di azioni e vive stancamente un rapporto di coppia che va avanti per inerzia. Ma all’improvviso qualcosa gli cambia completamente le prospettive di vita e si ritrova erede di un castello e di una grande ditta importatrice di caffè. È nel castello che lentamente riesce a scoprire, per mezzo di un carteggio, di più su Mariella, donna sconosciuta, che l’ha designato inspiegabilmente erede senza nemmeno conoscerlo. Attraverso un diario viene a conoscenza del passato della donna, del suo matrimonio fallito, della rinascita, del suo amore disperato, struggente e sfortunato, vissuto solo pochi anni lontano dal castello in una masseria esotica del Sudafrica.
Tristan non ricorda nulla del padre, scomparso quando lui era bambino, proprio come il cavalleresco Tristano, ma a differenza di quest’ultimo riesce a ritrovarlo, ancora vivo. Alla fine, gli eventi lo portano a dover scegliere se tenere il castello e accettare l’eredità oppure continuare la vita di prima. E se cedere all’amore, che ha riscoperto impetuoso. Non vado oltre. È una favola moderna, che consiglio a chi ama le storie d’amore intense, è affascinato dalle vite avventurose e dalla nobiltà secolare e mondana. Buona lettura a tutti.“ Carlo Simonelli

I was honored to be the opener of the 3rd event of Open Stage in Bern. This event is managed by a couple of young, talented artist, who offer an open stage to all beginners in various arts. Together with Carlo Simonelli I enjoyed a very grateful event @ Incontro Italia Lucerne, hosted by Rossana Muzzi, director of the school. There were some representatives from other literature associations, who showed interest in booking us for next year events. Most of all I was took by surprise as my cousin, daughter of my auntie Anna of the „Paper Factory“, bumped in and showed up as a real witness of the story!

Author’s book change 🙂

Finally it’s the turn for Lucerne, already planned last year and cancelled, due to a logistic problem (a train derailed in Lucerne’s station and  brought to halt the whole transportation system), this time it will surely work! I’m honored to share this event with my colleague writer Carlo Simonelli! Grazie mille Rossana Muzzi!!

I’m proud to announce my next reading on 25.2.18 @ Il Ponte – Centre of Culture in Rüti/ZH. In other terms, I love building bridges between cultures! Grazie mille to Maria Bernasconi & Carmela Fronterré!!

The half-yearly issue of the local magazine of Caposele (I) „La Sorgente“, honors me for the merits I’ve done over past few years, especially on Italian territory. The magazine is sent to all Italians living abroad, spread over the planet and it’s appreciate for keeping a relationship to their mother country. I feel very honored, grazie mille to the director Nicola Conforti & Salvatore Conforti and let’s get on to issue Nr. 100!
