29.9.2022 Aarauer Kurzgeschichten (Aarau’s Shortstories)

I feel very honored to be part of this anthology amongst some very well-known authors. We all have been asked to write a short story about Aarau or being connected to the town. I’m living here since 1993 and I’m an official local citizen of Aarau – so my literary contribution is a tribute to it…and a spooky one!

28.8.22 Rolling Sponz by Vinicio Capossela @ Calitri (AV)- Italy

For many years I tried to join Vinicio’s yearly big event at his hometown Calitri. I couldn’t make it earlier due to my agenda collision or, what everyone knows about the last two years, but this time it matched. I joined there two evenings hearing and seeing other artists, some locals and some from abroad – Vinicio celebrates his event by melting various artist. Finally I’ve met Vinicio, his is well-known and his career is still in international shape – may some of you have heard his jingle „Che cos’è l’amor?“ during an advert of a famous pasta?

30.6.2022 Alpaca Reading @ Waedis Farm

Regrettably the weather didn’t work well, so the reading was held under the roof of the farm, as the Alpaca’s didn’t want to stay at the meadow, neither in the shed…they’ve found another place – a covered place in the meadow! But it was lovely the same and I enjoyed it with a well visited event.

30.6.22 Alpaca-Reading @ Waedisfarm, Hunzenschwil/ CH

On Thursday 30.6.22, starting 7 pm, I’ll be reading at the meadow out of my books, on stage I’ll be joined by the alpaca-family of Adele and Wädi Baumann; they will offer an aperitif and after the reading coffee with cookies. It’s free entry and anyone who wants to join us, can write to adele.baumann@bluewin.ch (in case of rain or storm, the reading will be held in the shed!)
To know more about the alpacas, have a look at www.waedisfarm.ch! I’m really looking forward to this particular event!

21.4.21 Reading @ Wier Seisler, Gasthof St. Martin Tafers (Kt. FR)

Finally we made it, Dorothe and I!
Due to pandemic, it was not that easy for authors to held readings and being palpable for the public. Together we build a good team with our books, Dorothe is a historian and writes about middle-age topics, I’ve read two of her works and one is really amazing „Der steinige Weg der Wyborada (The rocky path of Wyborada“ – I always tell her to put filming rights on it! I’m sure we will do some more readings together – I looked in to the crystal ball!!

Nr. 103 La Sorgente „Swiss National Day of the New Future“

It’s said, the mothers love to show off their sons – in my case I’m proud to show off my nephew! Once a year in Switzerland the children/kids accompany their parents or relatives to work to see, what work means and to offer them a starting position of their future plans. I’m honored having written about that in the journal „La Sorgente“! Many thanks goes to the new director Elisa Forte and In Memoriam of Nicola Conforte.

22.1.22 4th Meeting Swiss Writing Women in Aarau (CH)

Once a year we meet and greet each other by doing some networking, it’s a good opportunity to watch out for some collaborations or projects. This time it was my turn to host the meeting in my hometown Aarau. The last two year wasn’t possible to meet up due to pandemic. I showed to my writing colleagues the castle, the old part of town and it’s beautiful paintings on gabled roofs from the 16th century. We ended up after lunch at the bookshop on the corner and the bookseller was very surprised to meet the bunch of authors, which books are there on the shelf! There are some common projects to come up this year!
