Literature days – Literaturtage Solothurn

For the 2nd time the femscript-network had the great opportunity to place a stand in front of the entrance to the big stage of the landhouse, where well-known/famous authors held their readings.

On this occasion I met Milena Moser, the author of the bestseller „Die Putzfraueninsel“ (Island of cleaning women) and this time she introduced her new book „Schlampen-Yoga“ (Slut-yoga) which is very amusing!

The writing scene – Schreibszene

In November last year I met Fatima Vidal. She’s the owner of „Schreibszene“ and she introduced me her new projects and among them a workshop about „How to write a book and publishing it“. She told me that she has heard about  me and I was recommended to her and she asked me, if I would be interested to start this project?

Of course I want to do that!

I know a lot of people who dream about to write a book, but they don’t have any idea how to start with, so I was glad to give a little help to the first steps.

I held the 1st workshop at „Alte Kaserne“ in Winterthur, the workshop was immediately booked out and we held a waiting list.

Today we haven’t anymore Tschinggen, not? – Heute haben wir doch keine Tschinggen mehr, oder?

Hi everyone!

I was invited to a panel discussion at the historical museum in Baden, moderated by Radio Argovia speaker Patrick Nöthiger.

Actually at the museum is an exhibition with pictures in black&white about „The italians are here“. On this occasion took place the discussion with other representatives of foreign imigrants.

The word „Tschingge“ is originally an offensive and discriminating word to italians, by humiliating them. But the word itself is derivating from „cinque“, equal 5. So with the discussion we tried to give an answer, if there are still „Tschingge“ in Switzerland? Because today the italians are well-seen in the swiss society, but other nations feel today discriminated and it seems a social phenomenon, because actually the people from the balcan states are the one disliked.

We discussed about the topics integration, naturalization, racism and the ranking of nations, so many Turkeys, for example, love to live the italian lifestyle.

A foretaste of the exhibition…black & white pictures, another passion of mine

A few news…

Well… the election on 26th September was negative, I felt like slapped in my face. The IG Secondas were so keen for a positive result and now really disappointed. Our group has been dissolved due to the fact, that we didn’t reach our aim. I’ll take along in the future the efforts we made and lovely memories and still represent the needs of the immigrants.

On 5th December, Donato the brother of my godchild, had to introduce his lecture on migration at his grammarschool. He asked me kindly, if he can make use of my book? Of course, Doni!

I wish you all a lovely X-mas & a happy new year!

Radio Kanal K Aarau

Hi everybody!

Radio Kanal K, a local station in Aarau, invited me and Reto Caprez, president of the juniors SVP, for an interview about the releaved naturalization. The radio programme was called „Frei-Talk, Erleichterte Einbürgerung“. We both were interviewed by the moderatior and could express our arguments for or against the vote for this template. It was a very emotionally interview…the moderator a few times made the sign with his hand to slow down, please…

Afterwards I’ve been interviewed by Intro-TV, another local TV-channel in canton Solothurn, I didn’t see the broadcast, but I have the video of it. Later I was interviewed as well by the german Radio ARD 1 on the programme „Europa heute-Erleichterte Einbürgerung“

Literature days in Solothurn

Solothurn is the capital town of the canton Solothurn. The canton where I was born and grew up, my roots are exactly in a geographical region called „Niederamt“ and it’s on the foothills of the jurassic-range.
I moved at the age of 24 to the neighbour-canton Aargau and I live since then here.

Solothurn is also well-known for the annual literature days. Well-known or nearly famous authors come here to introduce their new books with readings. It was a honour for me to be here, being a member of the femscript-network of writing women and introduce my book at the stand to the visitors.

I had the pleasure to join Feridun Zaimoglu’s introduction and new book, it was very amusing and a little bit different from the common readings, we had a lot to laugh. Feridun has an unbeatable good sense of humour!

Foire du livre St. Louis/France

Salut!

The ASIS (Association of the italian writers in Switzerland) has been invited to take part at the book fair in St. Louis. I had no reading there, we „only“ had our stand and introduced our association to the visitors and make it well-known to the neighbour-country.

Next to our stand, there was a man creating paper and
this was very interesting to see, how paper comes out!

BuchBasel

Hallo!

For the 2nd time I was invited for a reading at the book fair in Basel. This time I took the opportunity to make the IG Secondas and our ideas well-known too, wearing the shirt and sensitize to the coming election about releaved naturalization.

I wrote about the topic migration and I am a daughter of the 1st generation imigrants, so my background is done and I am like many others in a transition generation. In a few months there will be the important election about naturalization of imigrants, I’ll write in a later article about!

Odd Fellows

Have you ever thought about the meaning of life, to find your inner values, questioning them and then to live?

Each of us has this moment and then follows this way.

I was invited for a reading at the women’s Odd Fellows Lodge in Aarau. Historical the Odd Fellows are mentioned in the 13th century and then in the 18th century it developed to the Odd Fellow Order.

The principles of the Odd Fellows is the thought of the releaf action and the three leading sentences are the foundation of the community: friendship, love and truth.

Three values that my family taught me!
